Our Home
So I finally am uploading pictures and telling about how we got our cute little home :) Hawk and I, previous to our wedding, had found an apartment to live in. I was really excited to have a little place but Hawk was feeling a little unsure about it. After the wedding, and a few days before we were to move in I heard things about the area and apartment from a reliable source that made me then feel unsure about where we were to live. So the day of the move we decided to go in person and let the people know that we were not going to be moving in that day. Needless to say they looked bummed and frustrated. I would be too. But we did what we had to do and we're glad we did it.
So in consequence to our decision we had to live with the in-laws till we found a place. Luckily we were only there a month. I love my in-laws and am grateful they were going to let us stay as long as we needed but it's important that a newly-wed couple moves out on their own. Well after a few weeks at the in-laws, a couple in our church talked to us about an old house that they rent out. They made a deal with us that we decided we could take and gave us the address to check it out. We go to check it out and so far I was sold on how cute the outside of the house looked. We walk inside and granted they were doing a little bit of construction to make it look nice but we were able to have a vision of what it would look like and we loved it! We couldn't help but accept the offer! So we gave the renters a couple more weeks to finish up the construction and then we moved in! It's a 2 bedroom one bathroom with an un-finished basement. Hopefully this winter Hawk and our Landlord will start construction to finish it. We love our home and are so grateful for this wonderful opportunity we have to be living in it. We love it so much that we would like to be there as long as possible. Here's a few pictures of our place. Please ignore the messy rooms hehe
The pictures are kind of out of order but oh well. This is my most favorite little spot!
This is our office and kind of drop everything room
Living Room where I purchased that couch for $50 at a garage sale
Our little hallway. The office is to the right of the little cupboards and the doorway you see to the left is our bedroom
Here's our bedroom. It stays pretty clean. Hawk is great and makes the bed everyday.
Here's our cute little bathroom. The sink and mirror are behind the door
The cute little kitchen. We were lucky to have all new appliances installed (except for the fridge)
Our messy stairway to the un-finished basement
Our un-finished basement that I'm scared to go down in at night with no light.
Our HUGE backyard. Majority of it is a garden with all sorts of fruit and veggies growin. The Landlords take care of it and have let us have access to it. P.S. the grass is a lot greener now hehe.
The shed that we're slowly re-painting. Hawk built & installed the doors you see.
The front view of our cute little home! I love the little walkway and the bushy trees.
And our dining room. That's the front door that you see and I'm standing in one of the kitchen doorways
